Job Description
ATI Specialty Materials, an Allegheny Technologies Company, is a recognized world leader in the production of specialty alloys including titanium, nickel and specialty steel for the aerospace, biomedical, oil & gas, chemical processing and nuclear industries. We are seeking qualified candidates for a Quality Analyst position at the Oakdale, PA and Robinson, PA locations.
The Quality Analyst will be responsible for supporting daily lab operations development, analytical equipment calibration development, laboratory continuous improvement projects, analytical instrument troubleshooting, and coordination with outside vendors.
Update and maintain routine and non-routine analyses for chemistry, gas, particle size distribution, hardness, and metallography evaluation.
Support development and maintenance of in-house analytical reference materials.
Lead short term laboratory continuous improvement projects.
Perform basic troubleshooting on analytical equipment.
Communicate with third party vendors to escalate more complex analytical equipment problems.
Coordination and statistical analysis of pertinent interlaboratory/intralaboratory testing and round robins.
Serve as secondary point of contact for lab technicians at Oakdale and Robinson Operations.
Train laboratory employees on controlled documents and technical operations as required.
Assist in the compliance of Nadcap aerospace accreditation and ISO 17025 accreditation.
Engage in activities that promote growth in knowledge necessary to perform essential tasks.
Improve Safety, Quality, Production and On Time Performance to our customers within the laboratory processes.

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, Chemistry or Metallurgy preferred.
2-5 Years of Experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards such as ISO, AS9100 (aerospace), Nadcap, Nuclear, etc. preferred.
Computer skills including working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access Database, etc., and the ability to learn other related software and company systems.
Ability to effectively communicate with both verbal and written with internal and external customers at all levels and establish a working relationship with bargaining unit personnel.
Strong problem solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Detail oriented, highly organized and able to manage multiple assignments with minimal supervision.
